What you build stays on your device. There is no account and no login. The only things that leave your device are a small, anonymous signal for the Everyone tab — so that other people can see someone is focusing — and a note of which days the app is used. Nothing we receive tells us who you are.
What stays on your device
- Your focus sessions — when they started, how long they ran, and the habit you labelled them with
- The islands you have built and their contents, and the names you give them
- Your avatar, your settings, and your notes
- The apps you choose to close while you focus. These are chosen through Apple's Screen Time; Apple does not tell the app — or us — which apps they are
What is sent to our server
Minutopia talks to one server of ours, api.minutopia.app, which runs on Cloudflare. It receives only the following:
- An anonymous ID. A random number made on your device the first time it is needed. It is kept in your iCloud Keychain so that your other devices use the same one. It is not made from your name, your Apple Account, or your device, and it cannot be traced back to them.
- When a session starts and ends. The start time and planned end, then a signal when it ends; for a finished session, its length in minutes and the time it ended.
- Your avatar's look. Its body, eyes, colours, parts, skin, pedestal and backdrop — each one an item from the app's own catalogue. The pedestal reflects your total focus time in broad steps; the time itself is not sent.
- Days of use. For each day, whether you opened the app, opened the Everyone tab, and focused for at least five minutes.
- Invites. Your invite code — six random characters the server makes for your anonymous ID. If you enter someone's code, the server keeps that your anonymous ID used that code, when you entered it, and when you first focused for five minutes afterwards. This link is between two anonymous IDs; no name or contact passes through it.
- The egg island. When you tap “Start digging”: your anonymous ID, your avatar's look and your device's time zone (for example UTC+9). After that, the length in minutes, end time and number of each session you finish. When you invite a friend, a one-time invite link that lasts 48 hours.
- Where to send notifications. Only if you allow egg island notifications: your device's notification token and the language for the notification.
- When a session is due to end, even if you are not in the lists. If you have turned off showing yourself in the lists, starting a session still sends the time it is due to end (no avatar), solely so that egg island notifications wait until it is over. No one sees it — not in the Everyone tab, not in your group. It is cleared when the session ends, and not used past ten minutes after the planned end.
Never sent: anything you type (island names, notes, habit labels), what you were focusing on, your session history, your Apple Account, email address, contacts, location, or Health data.
What other people see
In the Everyone tab, other people see your avatar among those focusing now, today, or yesterday. If they tap it, they see your avatar on its pedestal and backdrop. They never see your ID, your minutes, your times, or any name.
If you invite someone, you see only how many invited friends have arrived — never who they are, their ID, or when they came. The person you invited never sees anything about you.
On the egg island, the people in your group (up to five) see your avatar, whether you are focusing right now, and whether you focused today (yes or no). They never see your minutes, your times, your ID or any name. The egg shows only the group's total progress; no one can see who dug how many minutes.
How long it is kept
- Focusing now — until your session ends (or ten minutes after its planned end if no ending arrives; up to three hours for a session without a set length).
- Each day's list — your ID, session lengths, end times and look are deleted when the following day's list closes, about two days later.
- Days of use — deleted after 60 days.
- Day totals — the total minutes and the number of people for each day are kept, with no ID attached.
- Invites — your code, and the link between an invite code and the anonymous ID that entered it, with its two dates, are kept so that the count keeps working, and so that we can count how many invited people keep using the app.
- The egg island — while you are in a group, we keep your group, your avatar's look, your time zone and the last day you focused for five minutes; they are deleted when you leave. The record of what hatched for you (what, and on which day) is kept as your belongings. Invite links remain on record after they are used or expire.
- Where to send notifications — until your device's token changes, or notifications can no longer be delivered because the app was removed.
Like any connection on the internet, your IP address reaches Cloudflare so that the request can be delivered. We do not store it in our database. Cloudflare's operational logs, which we can read when something breaks, are deleted after at most seven days. To keep the server from being flooded, Cloudflare counts requests per minute for each address and each anonymous ID; these counts are not kept in our database.
Because we never know who you are, we cannot look up your records on request. They expire on the schedule above.
Why
To show the Everyone tab, to count the friends who arrived with your invite code, to know how many people use the app each day as a count, to know, as a count, how often people who came with an invite keep using the app compared with people who did not, to dig the egg island together, and to tell you when an egg hatches. We do not use any of it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we share it with no one except Cloudflare, which runs the server for us, and Apple, which delivers the notifications.
What we do not do
- No analytics or ads. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or attribution SDK of any kind.
- No accounts. We never ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
- No tracking. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not share anything with data brokers.
Everything except the Everyone tab, invites and the egg island works offline. When the server cannot be reached, the app simply skips the signal.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive only whether a purchase is active — never your payment details, and never anything that identifies you personally. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.
Diagnostics from Apple
If you have chosen to share crash reports and analytics with developers in your device's settings, Apple may pass us aggregated, anonymised diagnostic information. That choice is yours and lives in iOS, not in this app. We cannot identify anyone from it.
Children
Minutopia is not directed at children under 13. It asks no one, including children, for personal information; the only things it sends are the anonymous signals described above.
Sharing what you build
The app can export a short video of your island. That file is created on your device and goes wherever you choose to send it. We never see it. The video shows only your island and its figures — no name, no face, no location.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a future version of the app begins handling data differently — for example by syncing your records through iCloud, or by letting you add friends — this page will say so before that version ships.

私たちのサーバーへ送るもの
Minutopia が話すのは、私たちのサーバー api.minutopia.app（Cloudflare 上で動いています）1つだけです。受け取るのは次のものに限られます。
- 匿名の ID。 初めて必要になったときに端末の中で作る乱数です。ほかの端末でも同じものを使えるよう、あなたの iCloud キーチェーンに保存されます。氏名・Apple アカウント・端末から作ったものではなく、そこへたどることもできません。
- セッションの始まりと終わり。 始めた時刻と予定の終わり、終わったときの合図。終えたセッションについては、その長さ（分）と終えた時刻。
- アバターの見た目。 体・目・色・部品・スキン・台座・背景。どれもアプリのカタログにある項目の番号です。台座は集中した累計時間を大まかな段で表しますが、時間そのものは送りません。
- 使った日。 日ごとに、アプリを開いたか・「みんな」を開いたか・5分以上集中したか。
- 招待。 あなたの招待コード（サーバーが匿名の ID ごとに作る6文字の乱数）。誰かのコードを入れた場合は、あなたの匿名の ID がそのコードを使ったこと・入れた日時・その後に初めて5分集中した日時を残します。これは匿名の ID 同士の対応で、氏名や連絡先は通りません。
- 卵の島。 「掘りはじめる」を押したときに、あなたの匿名の ID・アバターの見た目・端末の時差（例: UTC+9）。その後は、終えたセッションの長さ（分）と終えた時刻・セッションの番号。友達を呼ぶときは、使い捨ての招待リンク（48時間）。
- 通知の宛先。 卵の島の通知を許可したときだけ、端末の通知用のトークンと、通知の言語。
- 一覧に載らない設定でも、セッションが終わる予定の時刻。 一覧に自分を出さない設定にしていても、セッションを始めたときに終わる予定の時刻だけを送ります（アバターは送りません）。卵の島の通知をセッションが終わるまで待たせるためだけに使い、「みんな」のタブにも同じ組の人にも見せません。終わりの合図で消し、届かなくても予定の終わりの10分後からは使いません。
送らないもの: あなたが打った文字（島の名前・メモ・習慣のラベル）、何に集中していたか、セッションの履歴、Apple アカウント、メールアドレス、連絡先、位置情報、ヘルスケアのデータ。
ほかの人に見えるもの
「みんな」のタブで、いま・今日・昨日に集中した人の中に、あなたのアバターが並びます。タップされると、台座と背景の上に立つアバターが見えます。ID・分・時刻・名前が見えることはありません。
友達を招待した場合、あなたに見えるのは来た友達の人数だけです。誰なのか・その ID・いつ来たかは見えません。招待された人に、あなたのことが見えることもありません。
卵の島では、同じ組の人（最大5人）に、あなたのアバターと、いま集中しているか・今日集中したかどうか（はい・いいえ）が見えます。分・時刻・ID・名前は見えません。卵の掘れ具合は組の合計だけで、誰が何分掘ったかは誰にも見えません。
保存する期間
- いま集中している — セッションが終わるまで（終わりの合図が届かなければ予定の終わりから10分後まで。時間を決めないセッションは最長3時間）。
- その日のリスト — ID・セッションの長さ・終えた時刻・見た目は、翌日のリストが閉じるときに消えます（およそ2日後）。
- 使った日 — 60日で消えます。
- 日ごとの合計 — その日の合計の分と人数は、ID を付けずに残します。
- 招待 — あなたのコードと、招待コードとそれを入れた匿名の ID の対応（2つの日時を含む）は、人数を数え続けるため、また招待で来た人のうち何人が使い続けているかを数えるために残します。
- 卵の島 — 組に入っている間は、組・アバターの見た目・時差・最後に5分以上集中した日を残し、抜けると消えます。孵った物の記録（何が・どの日に）は、あなたの持ち物として残します。招待のリンクは、使われたあとや期限が切れたあとも記録として残ります。
- 通知の宛先 — 端末のトークンが変わるか、アプリを消して通知が届かなくなるまで。
インターネットのどの通信とも同じく、要求を届けるために IP アドレスが Cloudflare に届きます。私たちのデータベースには保存しません。不具合のときに私たちが読む Cloudflare の運用ログは、最長7日で消えます。サーバーが大量の要求で止まらないよう、Cloudflare がアドレスごと・匿名の ID ごとに1分あたりの要求の数を数えます。その数は私たちのデータベースには残りません。
私たちはあなたが誰かを知らないため、お申し出があっても記録を探し出すことはできません。記録は上の期間で自動的に消えます。
使い道
「みんな」のタブを表示するため、招待コードで来た友達の人数を数えるため、1日に何人が使っているかを人数として知るため、招待で来た人がそうでない人と比べてどのくらい使い続けているかを人数として知るため、卵の島を一緒に掘るため、そして卵が孵ったことを知らせるためです。広告には使わず、売らず、サーバーを動かしている Cloudflare と、通知を届ける Apple 以外には渡しません。
しないこと
- 解析・広告を入れない。 解析・広告・計測のSDKを一切組み込んでいません。
- アカウントを作らない。 氏名・メールアドレス・電話番号を尋ねることはありません。
- 追跡しない。 他のアプリやサイトをまたいだ追跡はせず、データブローカーへ渡すこともありません。
「みんな」のタブ・招待・卵の島以外は、すべてオフラインで動きます。サーバーに届かないときは、合図を送らずに済ませます。
購入について
購入と定期購読は、App Store を通じてすべて Apple が処理します。私たちが受け取るのは「購入が有効かどうか」だけで、お支払いの情報も、個人を特定できる情報も受け取りません。その取引には Apple のプライバシーポリシーが適用されます。
Apple からの診断情報
端末の設定で、クラッシュレポートや解析情報を開発者と共有することを選んでいる場合、Apple から集計・匿名化された診断情報が届くことがあります。この選択は iOS 側にあり、アプリの中にはありません。そこから個人を特定することはできません。
お子さまについて
Minutopia は13歳未満のお子さまを対象としたアプリではありません。お子さまを含むどなたにも個人情報を尋ねることはなく、送るのは上に書いた匿名の合図だけです。
建てたものを共有するとき
アプリは島の短い動画を書き出せます。そのファイルは端末の中で作られ、あなたが選んだ送り先へ届きます。私たちがそれを見ることはありません。動画に映るのは島とその景物だけで、氏名・顔・場所は含まれません。
変更
この方針が変わるときは、冒頭の日付も変わります。将来のバージョンでデータの扱いが変わる場合（たとえば記録を iCloud で同期する、友達を追加できるようにする場合）は、そのバージョンを出す前にこのページに記します。
